Liquid Mistress pours a dark, cola brown with a vigorously fizzing head. There’s not much of an aroma there – perhaps some apple or peach – but any pretence at subtlety is violently discarded upon the first taste.
This beer tastes like grapefruit rind. It is sharp, with the hoppy bitterness overpowering any other flavours that might be hiding in the mixture. That hoppiness lingers as well, like a distant relative overstaying their welcome or the smell of cigarette ash in your hair after a night out. I finished the glass, but more out of a sense of obligation than enjoyment.
